Blackbucks and chinkara hunting by dogs in Dhawa Doli Wildlife Sanctuary.

Blackbucks are being hunted by dogs every day. In the morning, when wildlife lover Shravan Patel came out of Melba’s Oran, a herd of dogs appeared near the pond. When he went and saw a big black deer dead. Possibly the dogs surrounded the deer who came to drink water on the pond at night and killed it. This deer was a full adult and looked 35 years old.

Shravan Patel, a wildlife photographer and associated with wildlife conservation, told that at present the wildlife of this area is facing adverse conditions. In village Dhanis, people give bread to dogs, due to which their number has increased a lot. On the other hand, the fencing and fencing in the fields is proving to be fatal for the deer. Eight to ten dogs form a herd and attack them from all sides, due to which the deer are not able to escape. Despite informing the forest department several times, no action is being taken. In the last two months, five Blackbucks were killed by dogs. If this process continues like this, then the deer will soon be eradicated from Dhawa Doli Wild Century.
